The BC Dental Association (BCDA) is the official voice of BC dentists; and, educates the public on oral health issues. For over 20 years, the BCDA has been a proven leader in professional association management, with a dynamic and inclusive culture of collaboration, cooperation and innovation.
BCDA has moved off our legacy database to Microsoft D365 on Azure/O365. In December 2019 we launched our new CRM and D365 web portals. This year we are integrating a new ERP and eCommerce solution and completing functional enhancements to our CRM and web portals that align with our strategic goals.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Systems Administrator will provide ongoing support and direction regarding all areas of IT support including system documentation and policy management; ensuring effective system access and hardware setup for end-users; manage hardware maintenance and replacement; manage software licenses, subscription renewals and third-party vendor agreements as assigned; end-user training on approved applications; executing data imports and exports as required; developing Power BI and Advanced Find reports as requested; and maintaining currency of our Disaster Recovery Plan.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the IT component onboarding, training and offboarding staff, assigning accounts, ensuring compliance of approved system security policies; and ensuring staff have access to software updates and new applications as needed, including managing scheduled Microsoft updates with our development team.
Our successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 to 7 years direct work experience in the role of in-house IT administration. Your education includes a BA degree in Computer Science (or similar); plus, additional training in Microsoft MCSA Professional certification including: O365, Administration, Configuration, Windows Server, Share Point, Azure, SQL, Exchange, Skype and any other relevant certifications. (Please include Microsoft transcript and history of continuing education courses). Ideally, you will also have completed training in Comp/TIA: A+ certification (Basic Hardware/software); Network+ basic network certification and Cisco certifications.
Your direct work experience will also include SharePoint on-premises farm/online: hybrid, advanced customizations, custom search, integration with other systems; Communications apps such as MS Teams/Skype/Lync; Microsoft Exchange (On-prem, hybrid, online); role as IT Security officer with a proven understanding of security and compliance, auditing; implementation and in-house support for CRM/ERP integrations; Web Administration (IIS/Apache, PHP, .Net, SQL) and you are highly facile with Azure/O365.
