Membership Information
There are four types of membership with the BCDA:
Active Membership
All licensed and practising BC dentists are members of the BC Dental Association (BCDA). A portion of your licensing fee paid to the College of Dental Surgeons of BC is applied to cover your BCDA membership dues.
In addition to a completed membership application form, we require your consent to the release of personal information from the CDSBC (be sure to check appropriate box on back of CDSBC license renewal notice) to activate your membership.
Non Practising Membership
The Non Practising category is available to BC dentist residents who are retired from practice or unable to practise due to permanent or long term disability. The BCDA encourages your ongoing professional involvement through this membership selection.
Affiliate Membership
Non resident dentists (living outside of British Columbia) are eligible for Affiliate Membership if they are:
- Licensed to practise outside British Columbia
- Retired from practice outside British Columbia
- Unable to practise due to permanent or long term disability outside British Columbia
Student Membership
Students falling into one of the following categories are eligible for membership:
- Full-time enrolment in the University of BC: 1st to 4th year, post-graduate, intern or residency program
- Full-time enrolment in out-of-province accredited CDA/ADA dental program - final year only
Become a BCDA Member
To become a BCDA member or to maintain your membership, download the membership form and mail it to the Association with a cheque, money order, or credit card payment form.
