About Us

The British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA) is a member-based organization governed by an elected Board of Directors of sixteen dentists. The BCDA is a provincial member of the Canadian Dental Association and is active in providing dental or oral health information to consumers through Oral Health Month in April of each year. The BCDA also facilitates Community Dental Day every April, where dentists donate time to provide urgent dental care for low income patients.

The BCDA is an active partner with the University of British Columbia Dental School on numerous initiatives and also provides continuing education opportunities for dentists and dental staff through the annual Pacific Dental Conference and online courses.

Communications with our members includes the bridge magazine, published six times per year, the BCDA website, and news releases to the media and the public with position statements and key messages on oral health issues.
